RK House
RK House is a single family terrace house located in Sydney’s Inner West. The project reconfigures the existing programs of the terrace house in order to meet the growing needs of the young family. An additional storey is to be added to the house with the new massing set back behind the original facade in order make the new work invisible from the street, maintaining the historical character of the context.
The ground floor combines the social programs of the house in to an undivided sequence of spaces including, living room, kitchen, dining room and garden. As you move up through the house the programs increase in privacy culminating in the main bedroom and en-suite on the top floor.
